Vessela Atanassova is a Senior Assistant at the Institute of Balkan Studies with a Center for Thracology – BAS. She defended her doctoral dissertation in 2016 at the Sorbonne University – Paris IV on “Priests-Hmw-nTr in the cult of Egyptian deities.” Her research interests are focused on the connections between Egypt and ancient Thrace: Egyptian influence in Thrace, Thracian onomastics in Egypt. She received additional qualifications for working with epigraphic material at the Franco-Egyptian Center for the Study of Temples in Karnak.
